At the moment of impact a player’s wrists are briefly over extended when using a straight handle. By bending the shaft at the top by 18 degrees the wrists are now in the optimum position thereby reducing muscle tension and eliminating wrist strain. This is very effective for all players but for players suffering from wrist or hand damage it is essential.
